The House just passed a spending bill in order to avoid breaching the debt ceiling. Some paint this as a great victory, others as a necessary compromise, but the truth is that Congress is absolutely out of control and the “right” path should have been obvious to Republicans and Democrats alike given the shaky economic environment we find ourselves in and the already insane amount of debt our country carries. Rather than behave responsibly, our representatives seem determined to drive us over a financial cliff as quickly as humanly possible. You don’t want to miss this episode.
